SHIP DETAILS (ADD/EDIT/REMOVE SHIP)
On this tab, you can manage the ships for your fleet. You can:
- Add a new ship to your fleet
- Edit the details of a ship
- Remove a ship from your fleet
Below is the default view of the "Ship Details" tab.
1. To add a new vessel you need to click on the +Add New Ship button. A new window will open where the Ship Wizard will guide you through the process.
1.1 On the first tab, you need to enter the general information of the vessel.
The IMO number and the Ship name are both mandatory fields.
Optionally, you can also upload an image of your vessel here.
If the vessel is on time charter and has a time charter name, you may enter it in the Charter Ship Name field.
We recommend to enter also the vessel's Email address, as this is required for the data quality messaging.
You may further add the vessel to a Ship Group within your company.
If the vessel is classified as a general cargo vessel, then check the box next to General Cargo Ship. This is important and a mandatory figure for the correct EU MRV calculation and verification.
1.2 If your company is Fleettracker Gold customer, then you may fill in the Ship CII Factors data in the second tab, as per the ship's class documentation.
1.3 In the third tab, you have to enter the ship's specific invoice address. If you require a collective invoice, check the "collective invoice" box under Type of invoicing.
1.4 In the fourth tab, you need to enter the vessel's MMSI Number. Optionally, you can also set up a Inmarsat C device.
1.5 In the last tab, click on the "submit" button to finalize and add the ship to your fleet.
Remark: Whenever a new vessel has been added to the fleet, it is not automatically assigned to the guest accounts. Any guest account who may have access has to be assigned manually to the vessel by the Fleettracker admin.
2. If you need to change the data of the vessel at a later stage (such as the vessel's name or MMSI number), click on the "Edit Ship" button. This will open the Ship Wizard again, and you can make changes to the data accordingly.
3. For the deltion of a vessel please click on the button "Remove Ship"
3.1 A new window will open and the wizzard will guide you through the process. Please select the date as from which month the vessel shall be removed from you fleet. Thereafter confirm.
As per contract the termination of a vessel must be done 5 days bofore the end of a month, otherwise the upcoming month will be fully charged.
Remark: The data of removed vessel will still be seen in the CO2 and ship schedule section for the next 2 years as from removal date.
