The CII Module offers a live overview over the carbon intensity indicator as calculated based on vessels report. It offers information on a voyage basis as well as live information based on noon reports from the last 30 days.
In order to use the CII Module the following setup is required:
Setup
With an Admin Account navigate to settings as follows and select Edit Ship:
For every relevant vessel click next to the 2nd page Ship CII Factors and enter the appropriate CII Classification, CII Capacity (Summer DWT or Gross Tonnage depending on vessel type), Sailing in Ice Conditions (if applicable), Chemical Tankers / Gas Carrieres / Bulk Carriers (if applicable) and Voluntary structual enhancement for self-unloading bulk cariers (if applicable) in the provided fields.
Note: After the first entering of the CII ship details the data for the vessel overview will only be shown, once the vessel detail view for each vessel was opened or the next day, after an initial calulcation has been carried out for all vessels.
CII Capacity
In the below table are the vessel types listed with their corresponding CII Capacity type.
CII Fleet View
In order to get an overview of your fleet navigate to CO2 and select IMO CII to go to the CII Module.
If no vessels appear here go to the vessel detail view first or wait until the next day for the initial CII calculation to take place.
In the overview you can find a quick overview of your fleet over the selected year. For each vessel the reference year as well as the previous years figure in order to compare to the current year.
The filter also allow for filtering the fleet overview by attained CII category.
CII Vessel Detail View
In the vessel detail view all voyages for a selected year can be seen with all their relevant data and the results are plotted on the chart on the right hand side
To find out more information about particular voyages that stand out the data points in the chart can be clicked which will scroll to the corresponding voyage in the list on the left where all report data can be found that resulted in the selected CII value. In addition to the report values, a chart is shown where the voyage is displayed based on the AIS Data of the voyage period.
Daily CII
In the vessels detail view a tab for the Noon Report data can be found. This graph shows the Noon Reports at Sea of the last 30 days and the resulting CII rating.
For days in port, respectively when the vessel made no nautical miles that day, obviously a CII value can not be calculated and therefore this days are not shown here.
Each bar represents one Noon Report. By hoovering over the bar a window with date/time, CO2 emitted CII value and nautical miles sailed is shown and clicking on the bar will open the respective Noon Report in order to get more details on the reasons for the calculated rating.
